Bird Rescuer

It was a good morning! I got to rescue a cute little bird that somehow got in our house and couldn't find her way out. She was trying to fly out our bay window that doesn't open. I tried to shooo her towards the back slider that we opened wide, but she just wouldn't leave the window. Just outside the window her little boyfriend was flying around trying to help, but she was stuck. They were both very frantic. Finally, I got her into the corner of the window and gently grabbed her. Surprisingly, she sat calmly in my grasp until I released her outside. She happily flew off into the beautiful blue sky. She was free and happy...so was I!

Mother's Day

It's almost Mother's Day and I thought this was just a a great example of a truely loved mom and her little girl on her wedding day.

10 GOING ON 16!

My little girl is growing up sooooo fast. I wish I could slow time down. Lately she's been my fashion model. Whenever I want to go out and shoot, I rope her in. Pretty soon she's going to start charging me. I'll just have to squeeze in as many shots as I can now...while I'm still in charge. Here are some that I've taken of her in the past few months.

Conner is not a camera guy, so I was surprised to find so many pictures of my little monkey. What a cutie pie! I still can't believe he's already Four. What a handsome little man he's turned into!

I'm back in school so I have an excuse...for last week anyway. Before that I couldn't tell you what happened to all my blogging time. I started a new website to get my business up and running, shot a wedding with my talented mother-in-law, farted around on the computer editing pictures and surfing the net...the list goes on and on. So, here's a cool pic I took recently. These are friends of mine. I took this picture the week before the baby was born. He's a beautiful baby boy!!!

What I've Been Up To...

If you haven't noticed, I'm psyco-nuts about photography. I've learned a lot since I started in August...I do know what f-stop and apature is now...Finally. I still have sooooo much to learn, so I've been practicing.

Me and some other lady I know, that is as obsessed as I am with photography, came and played with me. We took my Sister-in-law and her family along with my family to the park for pictures.

Okay, we had fun too. We left late, so the light was bad and I was having problems feeling motivated. But we got some great shots and had fun in the process.

Tomorrow I have some engagement pictures that I'm doing. I'm going to shoot the wedding with my cousin in February. I'm not sure I'm completely ready, but I think I'll do fine. I have another wedding this next weekend with my mother-in-law. That, I'm not ready for. I'm so nervous! I better keep practicing!
