Looking at Old Town Temecula

My mom and I went to old town Temecula yesterday to waist some film and have some fun practicing with our cameras. I had an hour, so we had to move quick...not that I can move quick with my aching back, but we tried...at least for a little while.
Well, it was the middle of a hot day, the sun wasn't perfect for pictures and there was a lot of traffic in town, so we were limited on what we could photograph. But here are a few shots of our cute town...sorry they're not better. I need some practice on photographing these kinds of things!
This is the entrance sign to the old part of town. There is another on the opposite side of town. They were added when they renovated the area. They are much prettier in person!
Just a couple of the cute botiques and buildings around town

Another addition when the old part of town was renovated. (Turn Your Head :)
Can Anyone tell me why this blogger keeps turning my photos? I can't figure it out. And how does it decide which one's to turn??? Stupid thing :(
Another large building is going up on the corner in town. I hope they do a good job keeping the feel of the town. They have done great so far!
Another cute building, I wish I didn't cut off the roof and second floor. It was a balancing act avoiding the cars driving by and my two cameras while trying to take pics. O'well, it's cute anyhow.

I never knew these little shops existed. I think the new paint made them stand out.

The finger's pointing the wrong way for some reason??? The main street is the opposite direction. I think they just found a spot for the sign...I don't know.

Well, Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed our little town.

Where's Conner...It's So Quiet!

This past Friday I hurt my back picking up my little buddy. And I hurt it BAD! So, I was basically in the horizontal position either on the couch or lounge chair outside all weekend long. Talk about a bumber. I'm not a lay around kind of person and this just made for a long weekend...not in a good way! Boy was I going stir crazy! Anyway, my point...I was out on the lounge chair enjoying the company of my hubby (the best part of my entire weekend) when I realized it was really quiet. I wonder what the kids are doing? Madi was watching TV...Surprise! She watches every chance she gets since I only alow maybe an hour every now and then. This weekend she was in TV heaven. She probably watched more TV than she's watched in her entire life. Okay, probably not. In actuallity she probably only got about four hours in this weekend, but for us that's alot! I think there's so much more to do in life than sit and veg-out. I guess every once in a while it a nice break from reality. Off the subject again...sorry. Anyway, you can see what Conner was doing. Funny thing is, he had to push a chair across the kitchen, climb on it, then climb on top of the counter to reach these tasty little treats that were up on the third shelf. I have no idea how he reached them. Amazing what this boy will do to get food. A boy after his parents heart! We love food!
Well, I'm back on my feet...kinda! So, hopefully I'll have some great things to share this week! Thanks for visiting!

Fourth of July in Big Bear

What a fun weekend we had. My mom, hubby, kids, Lucy and I had a long 4 day weekend in Big Bear. I don't know where to start??? Maybe at the begining. We left mid day on Thursday and stopped at In-N-Out for lunch. But first I had to snap a quick shot of my daisies in the front yard.

Once we finally got to Big Bear we spent a lot of time just kickin' back. We went hiking, took a boat ride on the lake, shopped in town...Ate Ice Cream!!! Yummy! It was fun. Here are some of the cool pictures I got.

At the House...

Pretty Flowers and weeds...

The Trees...

The Bees...

Sorry, you have to turn your head. I have no idea why this keeps turning my pictures around?

Other Cool Stuff...

On the Boat...

Out Hiking...

We had a blast!

When it came time to take pictures of the fireworks, I found myself unprepaired with my tripod in the closet at home. I decided to have fun with the camera anyway. I got some interesting swirls of light. Maybe next year I'll be better prepared...but probably not!

Here's what I took...
